The topic of the day was art. Since Jeremy’s approach was open-ended, the result was a friendly conversation that followed its own snaking rhythm to touch on some interesting subjects, including the nature of entheodelic storytelling and visionary art, the place of comic books in the contemporary art world, the use of psychedelics in creative enterprises, the age-old conflict between the artist and the critic, the distinction between art and artifice, the sorcery of contemporary capitalism, and other stuff too.
Unfortunately, my connection began to fail me towards the end of the recording. Other than that, the experience was a true blast. I want to thank Jeremy and Benton for letting me into their respective witch's kitchens to check out some of the marvels boiling and bubbling within.
